ENGLISH
I dedicate my work to women and their role within society. I combine a political thought/political awareness with the denouncing of contraddictions I find in daily life. I believe the following things to be important:
the valorization, in opposition to the contempt and exploitation, of women;
the reuse of materials, in opposition to consumerism;
the conservation and maintenence of materials, in opposition to the mentality of waste;
patience, perseverance and silence, in opposition to haste, change and noise.
I follow the traces of memories and of what has been forgotten.
I am fascinated by wool, cotton, silk and linen and I transform these simple materials into refined objects that reflect my predilection for subtleness and delicacy and my awareness of the small things of daily life.
Through the repetition of manual labour I find a connection with the women working in factories or with those who are invisible, underpaid, exploited and unrecognized.
I prefer old and untreated materials. My paper works are based on fabric or cloths, on the intertwining of warp and weft. I make new fabrics out of old ones by cutting, stitching, embroidering with needle or crochet, making knots etc. This way, by using different techniques, I can create lighter, more detailed effects, or richer ones. I also use nature: I take fir needles to let them shine in an installation; I cover old tarps, which used to be employed for the gathering of hay, with blades of alpine grass, in order to remember old practices, such as providing stables with bedding for farm animals, or gathering hay by hand.

Wertschätzung der Frau, im Gegensatz zu Verachtung und Ausbeutung;
Wiederverwertung von Materialien im Gegensatz zu Konsum;
Bewahrung und Erhaltung der Dinge im Gegensatz zur Wegwerfmentalität;

la valorizzazione della donna in contrapposizione al disprezzo e allo sfruttamento;
il riutilizzo dei materiali in contrapposizione al consumo;
la conservazione e il mantenimento degli oggetti in contrapposizione alla mentalità del rigetto;
